We've all heard cable news analysts and Wall Street economists bark about the supposedly ambiguous economic recovery. These corporate spokespeople continuously tout the Dow Jones' recent surge, the government's Gross Domestic Product report as prove of an economic turnaround, but despite the government and corporate-owned mainstream media's ambiguous campaigns to convince us that the worse is over, many of us sense that America is still in grave danger.
If you are one of these people, this is the blog for you. For the last 13 months, I have worked vigorously to uncover the truth the government and mainstream media consistently neglects. The truth is that this is more than a mild downturn, worse than a recession and deeper that anything that we've ever experience.
The government reports that unemployment is hovering at 10.2%. But when you calculate discourage workers (people who have been without a job for months and have stopped looking) and part-time workers who want (and need) to work full-time, the government's own data shows that the unemployment rate is actually at 17.5%. And when you calculate unemployment that the government did during the depression (as shadowstats.com demonstrates), the number is closer to 22%.
We have 35 million Americans living on food stamps, nearly 50% of youth expected to live in poverty at one point in their lives, the gap between the rich and poor widening, two costly (and unnecessary) wars consuming the nation's wealth, reckless spending by the federal government, a collapsing dollar, unprecedented deficits and a merger of state and corporate power that make Mussolini blush.
What we are experiencing worse the a depression, it is an economic collapse that will transform this nation into a second or third world nation.

A good high quality water filter might be something to consider, in case you canot get to bottled or tap water, if you use a natural source of water a filter or purifying tablets would be ESSENTIAL!
ReplyDeleteI recommend the Katadyn Hiker Pro, it works really well and has a washable filter, katadyn also sells purifying tablets, getting both would be a great idea, you can't have too much clean water.
I would even recommend getting some multi-vitamins since fresh fruits and veggies may be hard to come by.
